If you don't have access to a vice, try to borrow some C clamps, use them or make the home vice see diagram and use your ingenuity. First, make your "Large Sleeve" the "LS" , see diagram above. The plastic " T "`has three sections, like the letter T has three points sticking out, they are about one half inch long, cut one off, and you will notice that the "Large Sleeve " has burrs on it or rough ridges of plastic. Remove all rough ridges of plastic, using a dull knife or a dull pen knife, hold the pen knife at a 45 degree angle to the ends, and scrape the burs off until the edge appear smooth, notice how smooth the factory end is! Now, put your (LS) Large Sleeve into the vice and make your hack saw cut, to open the circle of the "LS" see diagram above. And try to remove any and all burrs. Take the "LS" and with a fine magic marker or a safety pin (if you are using a safety pin don't forget to use a soft pencil to fill the mark in, so it will show up) make your marks as shown in the diagram at 6, 9, 12, and 3 o'clock. ( It would be practicle to have your 6 o'clock mark to coincide with the made cut ).
Second, get your approximate four foot length of PVC white pipe, slide on the "LS" so that the smooth factory end of the "LS" is toward the end you are going to cut off ( By using the factory smooth end of the "LS, you can be certain that the ring or circle it will be exactly perpendicular to the pipe ). Move the "LS" to exactly 24 inches from the factory cut end, and make a circle at that point around the pipe, so it will serve as a guide for cutting the pipe. Remove the "LS", and try to be careful and cut across the pipe so that the circle line is your guide. Now, that you have your two foot section of the beam, remove any burrs on the end so that it is smooth. Replace the " LS" on the Beam and move it to exactly 12 inches from the end, again using the factory smooth end of the "LS" to make a circle around the Beam, with a very fine tip of a magic marker or safety pin. Remove your " LS", and place your Beam next to a board, it is best if the Beam would be a little wider then the board, all you are trying to do, is a get a straight edge, and make your three BEAM BOTTOM MARKS known as " BBM" about a half inch in length, at the center, and about a half inch at each end, see diagram above.

Again replace your "LS" back on to the beam, and move it the center again, and now adjust the "LS" so that the six o'clock mark on the "LS", matches up exactly with the center "BBM" mark. Now make an approximate 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch mark on the Beam, at 3 o'clock and at 9 o'clock. Remove the "LS", take a 2 1/2 inch nail or larger, and make a dent ( good dent) at exactly, where the circle on the Beam meets the 3 o'clock mark. Like wise make a dent (good dent) at the 9 o'clock position as well. When using the nail to make the dents, place the Beam between two boards. Now rotate the Beam so that you have the " BBM" marks facing up, between two boards and measure 5 millimeters from end and make a line at right angles with the "BBM" mark, repeat for the other end. Now, make a dent where the two lines cross at both ends, which will be 5 mm from the ends of the Beam.
