Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Another twenty and four thousand children of God die that have never made it to the promised land! However, today it will not be thousands but millions that will never make it into the promised land!

Learn Why?

We are creatures of habit, it is said that it takes something like two months to change our habit of putting on our pants, as to which legs goes in first. We don't think of ourselves as being addicted to anything, but just try changing the way you put on your pants. There are many addictive habits that we have developed with out realizing it. I understand that nicotine is a vicious addictive habit, that only a smoker can understand, that is if he ever tried to break the habit of smoking. We also have developed our habits for entertainment, as to what we watch or read, and can it be that if no one is around, that we might be tempted to watch something a bit dicey? You know that the TV is not what it was say some thirty years ago. There has been a deliberate desensitizing of our morals and our senses to the point that some people have the TV on continuously, while they are awake. Have you ever dropped by a friend's house unannounced only to find the friend frantically trying to locate the remote control, so that they can change the channel or turn it off? With time what it is today, short there seems to be no time for anything important. But you can always find time or make time for the TV. How serious are we about God and the things of God? Serious enough to break the habit of using the remote control!

THE TV IS MY SHEPHERD; I SHALL NOT WANT

IT MAKES ME LIE DOWN ON THE SOFA

IT LEADS ME AWAY FROM THE FAITH

IT DESTROYS MY SOUL

IT LEADS IN THE PATH OF SEX AND VIOLENCE FOR SPONSORS SAKE

YEA, THOUGH I WALK IN THE SHADOW OF CHRISTIAN RESPONSIBILITIES

THERE WILL BE NO INTERRUPTION, FOR THE TV IS WITH ME

IT'S CABLE AND REMOTE CONTROL, THEY COMFORT ME

IT ANOINTS MY HEAD WITH HUMANISM AND CONSUMERISM

MY COVETING RUNNETH OVER

SURELY LAZINESS AND IGNORANCE SHALL FOLLOW ME ALL THE DAYS OF MY LIFE

AND, I SHALL DWELL IN THE HOUSE, WATCHING TELEVISION FOR EVER

Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Today many Christians follow the advice that Balaam (a man of God) gave to trap the Children of God, through SEX that you find on the TV!

Numbers 25:6 ¶ And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

7 And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand;

8 And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel.

9 And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand.

10 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

11 Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.

Jude 1:11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

As the saying goes, if you have a dusty Bible you are living a dirty life, and the opposite can be said of the remote control, if you have a dusty remote control, you are living a clean life. Which is it going to be a dusty remote control or a dusty Bible?

Joshua 24:15 ¶ And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; . . . . but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Luke 9:62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
