Comments = Great Job Guys.
Andy, thanks for taking the time to talk with us!
My great, great grandfather, William P. Amey, fought for Company F and was one of the
Beverly Squad. He fought all the way until Wilderness when he was shot in the leg and had
it amputated. He was sent to a hospital in Washington where he got typhoid fever and died
on June 30, 1864. He was mistakenly listed in some of the records as "Arney" due
to handwriting styles, and was even originally buried in Alexandria National Cemetary as
Arney. Family members were able to get it corrected with a new tombstone! My daughter's
interest in family history has led us to this site, and we will try to visit with you guys
sometime soon. I'm a pastor, so Sundays are out. I'm curious, did the 12th have a
chaplain? My daughter wants to know if you need one! Thanks again for your work in
preserving our history.

Comments = I'm the widow of the Capt of the 7th New jersey Co. D.
His name was Charles Robison, and it brings a smile to me, to remember how much fun he had
doing the reenacting.

Comments = Just came on to check out the organization that my father spend
alot of his time with. He just loved being a part of it. Any book on the civil war that I
could find, I would pick it up for him. I'm glad he was a part of it because he did tell
me of his good times there and I enjoyed the many photos he would send to me. Thanks again

Comments = I came across access to living history on the internet
tonight. Thinking it would be great to look up the NJ 12th, I came across a big surprise.
Not only did I find the website but as I clicked on the homepage, there, in a picture from
quite a few years ago was the 12th as I knew them. My son sits in the front row. My thanks
and admiration to all of you, for bits of living history that will remain part of me
forever. My great grandfather mustered out at Gettysburg and to bring closure his great,
great grandson was a living reenactor in the same battle.

you expect from a Mifflin Guard Unit. Only the best. I enjoyed the site a lot. Your unit
