September 26th/27th/28th - PA Monument, Gettysburg

The Mifflin Guard has received the honor of being invited to represent the Union at the NPS Visitor's Center Grand Opening on Friday, September 26th. This will be a special occasion with many dignitaries on hand. All are invited to be a part of this one time event. We will post formation time as soon as it becomes available.

The Mifflin Guard will hold the regular Gettysburg encampment on Saturday and Sunday at the Pennsylvania Monument. Haven't attended? Now is the time. The weather should be pretty mild this time of the year. We will set up our usual garrison camp.

The activities include demos for the public by company and battalion, guard mounts and other special activities. Things rap up around 3:00 PM on Sunday. Come for the day or entire weekend. Let's support this event!

Parking is along Pleasanton Ave. just outside camp. Be on hand by 9:00 AM Saturday if only participating in the encampment. Remember, you cannot wonder the park after dusk, but must remain near camp and not off Pleasanton Ave.
