SWRC Bowl-a-Thon

SWRC has several volunteers that work for the Verizon Corporation, one of our most generous sponsors.  Each spring they work a lot of extra volunteer hours to organize a Bowl-a-Thon.  Volunteers, families and friends bowl and their sponsors donate money according to the points earned.  Then Verizon doubles the money donated by the sponsor of Verizon bowlers !!!

This year, 2002, the bowl-a-thon will be held on Saturday, June 22 from 12:00 pm to 4:00pm
at the Facenda-Whitaker Lanes in Norristown. The cost is $10/bowler which
includes 3 games, shoes, and ball. Each team can have a maximum of 4
bowlers and we mix and match people that only have a partial team or come
solo. Everyone (friends, family) is welcome to bowl and skill is
absolutely not necessary. We're just there to have a good time and make
money for the SWRC. Snacks and prizes are provided.

Bowlers (or non-bowlers) who are willing to collect pledges can request a pledge form(s) by calling SWRC at (215)482-8217. 

All money that is pledged to a Verizon employee will be matched by Verizon.

One thing we always need help with is collecting prizes. 
Examples of prizes we've given away are:
a business card holder, crystal clock, picture frames, animal print,
umbrella, bird feeder, bird house, wind chimes...

This event is a REALLY BIG HELP!
