Our Furry Children

We have 4 furry little kids. (Shihtzus)

There names are Sheri Lyn, ChaChi, Shei Kah, and Sheira. Below is a picture of Shei Kah. Shei Kah is the princess of the bunch. She rules the others and they know it. Although at times Sheira, her little sister, tries to tell her where to get off. Then one of us usually has to break them up.

These kids are very special to us.

We also have one male cat named Auschwitz. Funny name? Well it's for a reason.  Christopher rescued him from the pound only minutes before he was to be ...well you get the point. He saved his life. Auschwitz was only a couple of weeks old, so we had to bottle feed him for weeks. The pound said he was wild and would never make it, but Auschwitz showed them all up. He is big and healthy and mighty friendly and affectionate, especially with Dad. Dad did most of the feeding when Auschwitz was a little kitty, so Dad is really "Mom" to this kitty.

I keep using that word "kitty", but Auschwitz has grown up with 4 dogs and he doesn't think of himself as a kitty. He's just one of the dogs. They play together, fight like regular kids, and eat the same food, which is usually puppy food.

We also have another kitty named Mandy. She is our daughter, Ashley's, kitty and she only likes Ashley. As far as Mandy is concerned the rest of us do not even exist. Mandy is white and grey with big blue eyes and siamese-type markings. She was a wild kitty (born outside to a Mama who was not domesticated). Ashley caught her when she was very young and brought her inside to live. It took a while, but now she has claimed this as her home. She wanders outside to see her old family, but comes right back inside when it rains or gets chilly or she wants to eat. She just loves Ashley.
