  • STEVEN COERTE VAN VOORHEES -- first ancestor in America. (Translation: "Steven, son of Coerte of the town of Hees in Holland." CAME TO AMERICA IN 1660. Wife 1: Unknown; came to America in 1660.
  • COERT STEVENSE VAN VOORHEES (born 1637 and died after 1702). Born in Holland and came to America with his parents and siblings in 1630. Wife: Marretje Gerritse van Couwenhoven (baptized April 10, 1644, died before 1709).
  • GERRIT COERTE VAN VOORHEES (born ca. 1670-1672 and died Sep. 23, 1704). Resided in Flatlands, New York, and in New Utrecht, Long Island. Wife 1: Mensie Janse.
