Wellington Court Phase 1
Phase 1 consists of 370,000 square feet comprising 195 independent living units, underground parking, and a food service annex. The structural system is masonry bearing walls,steel beams, and open web steel joists to the first floor level. The upper floors and roof are constructed of wood framing. The residential areas clear span more than 35 feet using open web wood floor joists. Lateral stability is provided by a combination of masonry shear structures and wood framed shear walls.
Wellington Court Phase 2
Phase 2 consists of 110,000 square feet comprising 36 private nursing/ rehabilitation suites on the first floor, and 64 assisted living apartments. The structural system is a steel frame with composite steel beams. Lareal stability is provided by masonry shear structures.
