I could be totally free
to be pleased in what I do

Our children would see
that a man is a man

the hell they were causing
When they became lazy
And stepped on another man's head

I could ring the bell of freedom
For every man,woman, and child

I could stand up and shout
Let me be free! then break
the chains that bind my soul

God would see us and hear us
And open the gates of Heaven
to us so that we may be free

I could see what lies ahead
What our children would see and feel
I wish
I could see what tears they
Would shed,Would they be for
Freedom and Joy? Or Sorrow,Bondage
And Sadness...
I wish
I could be totally free so that
My children will not be
Drowned in the tears I shed.
