Contact Dan Schwartz, Dan@Snip.Net March 18th, 2006 Here, the flash did not fire, so I had to dig this shot of Austin with Uncle Gary and Aunt Gwen out by a good 3 stops with Photoshop CS2's Shadows/Highlights tool, and sharpen only the luminance channel in 16 bit LAB space, all the while still holding a modicum of color. Since I shot it at ISO 100 to minimize noise, the B&W version looks rather good... Again, this was when I was running out of space on my Fuji S2 Pro's CF card, so because I switched from CCD-RAW to JPEG-Hi to squeeze a few dozen extra captures onto the card, this shot could be surgically repaired in Photoshop CS2 only so far. |
