Beef Cubes Time Savers

Purchase the biggest cut of beef {any cheap cut will do}
It can be a chuck, bottom, round, whatever is on sale.
whatever you can afford.
While this will take time now,
the time saved later is well worth the effort.

Cut the beef into 1" cubes.
Seperate into approximate 1# portions {if that is enough for your family}
Wrap and freeze some portions, label, and add to your chart.
These portions will be ready for any recipe calling
for beef cubes.

Seperate the rest into 2 piles. With the 1st, brown in
skillet till light brown, Set aside to cool.
With the next, dredge in you favorite flour and seasonings.
Brown in the same skillet, just add some oil.

Portion,Wrap,label, freeze & add to your chart the browned beef cubes.
These will be ready for any recipe that calls for pre-browned beef,
such as alot of crock-pot meals do.

Portion,Wrap, label, freeze & add to your chart the floured cubes.
These will be ready for any recipe that called for floured
and browned beef. {like swiss steak}

These require no defrosting to add to your dish.
Just add 10 minutes or so to the cooking time.

*I use zip-loc freezer bags. They can store flat and save room.*
