CASSIE & TOM'S GETTYSBURG PHOTOS

FOGGY BATTLEFIELD

We've visited Gettysburg during every season and nearly every weather condition. Each has it's own charm but we especially like being there in the fog. The battlefield takes on a serene quality that words can't quite describe. This page shows two panoramas. The first three photos are looking towards Little Round Top from Houck's Ridge. The following four show the Valley of Death from the summit of Little Round Top. Big Round Top was completely enshrouded in fog. Smokeless gunpowder wasn't invented until just after the Civil War so these photos probably come close to showing how this area appeared during the battle of Little Round Top.
