1999 Men’s Group Vermont Retreat

(please be patient…it may take a few moments for these pictures to load)

A highlight of our men’s group fellowship is our annual retreat.
For two years in a row we have been going to a cabin in Vermont
that one of our members owns. This year there were so many
of us (11) that we had to borrow a second cabin.

The cabins are on Lake Sedogwa in the Southern part of Vermont.
Here pastor Bill enjoys some canoeing.

Several of the guys also enjoyed the excellent fishing.

A lot of what we did was just slow down and enjoy God’s beautiful creation.
Bob Parry seems to have this down to an art form.

We also had some fantastic times sharing our faith and growing closer
to one another and God through a Tony Campolo Video Series entitled
"Who Switched the Price Tags?"

But in order to keep up this strenuous level of activity we had to eat well.

Actually our activity level was so high we had to eat well several times.

It wasn’t hard with so many excellent cooks. Here our generous
host, Sal Tranchina, shows us how to fry an egg…

And Scott MacWilliams demonstrates proper grilling technique.

Others, such as these corny guys, took on less glamorous,
but equally important, jobs. Keep your "ears" open for more
information on next year’s retreat.
