Singer, songwriter Bob Andrews is a new voice in the acoustic singer-songwriter community. His songs draw on both the light and dark side of everyday life. He weaves his writing around themes of hope, humor, and healing. A careful observer of the human experience, Bob writes about what falls between the cracks of life and what we can be when at our best. |

Bob started performing his songs in 1996 after attending a songwriting seminar
given by Bob Franke. After hearing Bob for the first time, Franke told him
that his songs needed to be heard. The following summer Bob traveled to Lake
Winnipausaukie in New Hampshire to again work with Bob Franke and to take part
in a Summer Acoustic Music week sponsored by Dick Pleasants and Boston radio station
WUMB. While in New Hampshire, Bob caught the ear of the folks from Dancing Druid Music and was shortly thereafter offered a recording contract. |

Bob’s earliest musical influences can be traced to the Dylan albums his older
brother would bring home from college and the country tunes his father would
sing on Sunday afternoon drives. Performers who have recorded Bob’s songs include
Wichita singer-songwriter Aaron Fowler on his CD, When We Gather, Boston’s Eric
Behr, on his soon to be released CD, A Stop Along the Way, and Hartford singer-songwriter,
Lee Gobi. Bob’s first CD, Finns Point Light, was released in the
spring of 1999 on the Dancing Druid Label and is available from Bob and from
amazon.com. In listening to Bob’s songs, you will be re-acquainted with the dreams you’ve put on hold and with the parts of your life that you’ve been meaning to visit. If you enjoy tales with a twist, daydreams with an edge, and well-crafted songs that help you find your way, you need to give Bob Andrews a listen. What others have said ... “ Bob Andrews is one of the best songwriters to come through my songwriting workshops, and the list of alumni includes David Wilcox, Kristina Olsen, and a number of other folks of which you’ve already heard...audiences will enjoy this guy.” “Bob Andrews is a talented songwriter with a captivating stage presence. It’s great to hear his songs. They are wonderfully clever, well constructed, and a joy to listen to. He’s one of those writers whose songs will be picked up by groups all over the country.” Dick Pleasants, 91.9 FM WUMB Boston “Another powerful voice has been added to the acoustic music fray. Bob Andrews writes songs that speak to the universal experience of living in the late twentieth century. He has the eloquence of Bob Franke, the evocative imagery of Dave Mallet and the soul of Pete Seeger. We’ll be singing Bob’s music for a long time to come.” Tom Rowe, Schooner Fare “Bob Andrews has a wonderful gift for painting a lyrical landscape that leads us right to the heart of whatever emotional situation he wishes to explore. His work is focused and tightly woven...hearing his songs for the first time made me want to go back and hear them again and again.” Eric Behr, Boston singer / songwriter “ In Bob’s songs there is a complexity, a subtlety and refinement that only comes with time and careful attention.” Joe Bretschneider, Mainstage Center for the Arts “ Bob draws in his audience like a magnet. His songs delight the heart without being sentimental ; they have an edge without being callous. He is a great new talent...” Margo Hennebach, 1-800-PRIME CD |
